What Manus Cue and Automations is good at

Automations start work from a trigger, for example drafting a summary whenever a product account posts on X, and Scheduled Automations run at set times.
Cue agents can split a goal between them in a shared channel and pass work along while you check in from your phone.
A Cloud Computer gives an automation a permanent home that stays up when your laptop closes.
Remote Control lets you drive your own computer by voice from your phone while Manus does the clicking.

Where Manus Cue and Automations breaks

Cue needs an invitation code for now, and an agent's phone number is a separate subscription that counts toward a Cue weekly allowance.
Each Cue agent has its own email, phone number and wallet, so it can contact people and hold money under its own identity; check what each one can send or spend before you connect it.
Free covers 1 concurrent task and 2 Scheduled Automations and Pro 20 of each; an always-running automation needs a Cloud Computer, bought separately.
Opting out of data training is listed as a Team plan feature.

When a custom build beats Manus Cue and Automations

When the trigger and action never change (new form entry, send a reply), Zapier, Make or n8n does it for less and with no credits to track.
