A plain comparison: who each tool is for, where each one breaks, and when neither is the answer. No affiliate links.

Who this is for

The two always-on agents people are comparing right now: owners deciding whether a $100 ChatGPT Pro seat or a $30 SuperGrok (or X Premium+) plan gets them a working background agent.

The verdict

Both give you an agent with its own cloud computer that keeps working while you are away and asks before consequential steps. A dot comes only with ChatGPT Pro, from $100 a month, or Business Premium, and Pro access is not offered in the EEA, Switzerland or the UK at launch; you get one dot with an allowance and connect it to ChatGPT's 4,000+ app plugins, Slack and Teams. Grok Bot starts with SuperGrok at $30 a month (or X Premium+ at $40 in the US) and lets you run several named Bots, but they all share one computer and its logins, and it signs in through Cursor.

Pick a dot if you already pay for ChatGPT Pro and want one agent tied into Slack or Teams; pick Grok Bot if you want several cheaper agents for browser work on sites with no API.
