What Make is good at
- The visual builder shows a scenario as a chain of modules, which makes branching flows easier to follow.
- Low entry price: the paid plan is listed at $9/mo for 5,000 credits, and the free plan gives up to 1,000 credits a month.
- When credits run out, incoming webhooks are queued and polling scenarios pick up from their last successful run once credits return.
Where Make breaks
- Every module action counts as a credit, including reading, transforming, aggregating, and iterating rows, so loops over large lists burn credits fast.
- A single run is capped at 40 minutes on paid plans and 5 minutes on Free, with a 15-minute minimum interval and 2 active scenarios on Free.
- Scenarios stop running when credits are used up until you upgrade or buy more.
When a custom build beats Make
When a job loops over large datasets or runs long, custom code avoids per-module credit costs and the 40-minute run cap.
Setup
No-code. Someone comfortable with spreadsheets can set it up. No code needed.
