What NeverBounce is good at

Verifies single emails through an API and whole lists of thousands or millions.
Returns clear result codes: valid, invalid, disposable, catchall and unknown.
Offers a JavaScript widget for checking emails at signup.

Where NeverBounce breaks

Your list is full of catch-all domains: the API marks these as catchall, meaning unverifiable, so you still have to decide whether to send (API docs).
You buy credits and use them slowly: Trustpilot reviewers (1.9/5 from 32 reviews) complain prepaid credits now expire after a year, and some report lower accuracy than other checkers.

When a custom build beats NeverBounce

Rarely; checking mailboxes safely at scale needs shared infrastructure, so a custom checker usually performs worse and risks your IPs.
