What Instantly is good at

Outreach plans include unlimited email accounts and warmup.
Bundle plans add a B2B lead database (the page says 450M+ leads) and credits to the sending tool.
Can route and tag leads automatically when they reply, visit your site or book a meeting.

Where Instantly breaks

You expect one price to cover everything: outreach, leads and credits are separate plans, and the cheapest outreach plan caps you at 5,000 emails and 1,000 uploaded contacts a month (pricing page).
You need to reply from the shared inbox on a cheap plan: Trustpilot reviewers complain features are paywalled after purchase, and the pricing page lists Unibox replies under the higher Scale bundle.
Billing or support goes wrong: Trustpilot shows no TrustScore (company flagged for a guidelines breach) and reviewers report charges after cancelling.

When a custom build beats Instantly

Rarely for sending itself, since warmup networks and inbox rotation are hard to rebuild; custom only wins for the steps around it, like list cleaning or reply triage.
