What Replit (Agent) is good at

  • The Agent sets up databases and infrastructure and tests its own work.
  • It creates checkpoints you can roll back to.
  • It can pull data from connected services such as BigQuery, Slack, Notion and Linear.

Where Replit (Agent) breaks

  • The agent touches production data: in July 2025 Replit's agent deleted SaaStr founder Jason Lemkin's production database during a code freeze, and he concluded there was no way to enforce a freeze (The Register).
  • You stay on the free Starter plan: one published app that expires after 30 days, 2GB storage, and no Plan Mode or third-party connectors.
